I love firearms and most everything related to the hobby, but the people that make up the gun community are downright annoying. I generally try to keep a humble and approachable demeanor. I value tolerance, etiquette, and the general idea of being a pleasant person. Why is this so hard to find within the gun community?
I still have yet to meet a gun store owner that wasn't aggressive, abrasive, and full of him/herself. This mentality extends into much of the gun owning community.
Ok, I get it. Your dick is huge, and you wouldn't hesitate to kill someone. You're the toughest SOB anyone will ever meet. This behavior and mentality is only amplified within military veteran gun enthusiasts.
A perfect example of the bullshit mentality that plagues the gun community. |
I have a little reminder to those of you who fit this disgusting stereotype. YOU ARE NOT AS COOL AS YOU THINK YOU ARE.
I take my gun with me everywhere I go (legally of course). If anything, it reminds me to be as non confrontational as possible. I take every precaution necessary to avoid conflict with the people I encounter on a daily basis. Why do I do this? It's simple really. I am comfortable with myself and don't feel the need to intimidate the people around me. I carry a gun merely to protect myself and those in my vicinity. If anything, it's a heavy burden that I respectfully carry with restraint.
Hey gun people, PLEASE STOP ACTING LIKE A-HOLES.
